KEY INITIATIVES

Mental Health Support & Advocacy

SMART's passion is to help people of all ages develop a strong sense of resiliency, self, and community.  Using relevant data & evidence-based approaches, SMART offers trainings & educational opportunities for development in many areas across a broad spectrum.

SMART serves as a mental health go-to resource for all of Region 15, along with surrounding communities, and is available to offer support in various ways, including via material dissemination, connections and collaborations, and skill building support.

Parent Education & Support

Historically, SMART has hosted Parent University workshops that focus on targeting the ongoing need for informative and preventative support for families struggling with substance misuse and/or mental health related issues. SMART continues to consistently work on developing accessible parenting workshops, to offer reliable support through a parenting landscape that is ever-evolving.

The goal of these workshops is to strengthen family systems and teach parents & loved ones how to build assets in our elementary-aged through college-aged youth. These workshops are determined based on relevant social & community issues, and trends that affect all community members across the lifespan.
